Green Interactive Feeder

In case you haven't heard, the Northmate Green Interactive Feeder dog toy has been like the Cabbage Patch Doll or Furby of dog toys this past holiday season. Here at ActiveDogToys.com, we have never seen anything like it!

What Makes the Green Interactive Feeder So Special?

The customer feedback on the Green Slow Feeder has been amazing. First, it drastically slows down a dog's eating time and Second, it keeps a dog entertained for a good period of time.

How Does the Green Interactive Feeder Work?

The Northmate Green Feeder looks like a patch of plastic green grass. All you do is sprinkle some of your dog's dry dog food in it and watch as your dog hones in on his cave dog foraging instinct and happily finds all the little pieces of food hidden amongst the blades of grass. Yes, the Green Interactive Feeder is an instinctual dog toy that dogs love because, instinctually, they know how to and thoroughly enjoy foraging for food!

The Green Interactive Feeder for dogs is a revolutionary way to turn your dog’s meal into a challenging game. Many dogs lack mental stimulation which can lead to boredom and unwanted behaviours such as inappropriate chewing or barking. By entertaining your dog with their own food allowance you can stimulate them mentally and help to remove these problems.

Scatter the desired amount of food across the Green and watch your dog ‘work’ to push the food out between the many blades of grass.

Another important feature of Green is that it prolongs eating time, which is proven to significantly reduce the risk of vomiting, gagging, gas and belching and also decrease the risk of `bloat’ a potentially fatal disease for dogs. This results in a happier and healthier dog.

The Green Dog Feeder has been designed so that one size can be used for all dogs, regardless of weight and breed. It is made of hard plastic (without phthalates) and can therefore be used both indoors and out and is also completely safe to be cleaned in the dishwasher.

The Northmate Green Slow Food Feeder measures 11" x 16".

What Are Customers Saying About the Green Feeder Bowl?

Good idea for dogs that normally eat their food way too fast!
"We recently adopted a Doberman/shepherd mix puppy who loves to inhale her food in record time. We tried using some of the easier puzzle toys, but she still went through them pretty fast or gave up trying to figure them out. We also used the orange ball for dispensing food, but found she lost too many pieces of food under the furniture. With this, the "blades" slow her down from eating, and the food all remains in the bowl rather than under furniture. And she eats all her food without losing interest :) Great, simple product!"

Really does slow down food time!
"I was very skeptical at first, when I saw this product. I have an Australian Shepherd that acts like she never gets fed, when food was placed in a normal bowl. I bought this thinking I'd give it a try. I put food on the Green Feeder and managed to read my mail and take a 15 minute shower, came out, and she was *still* eating! It took her almost 30 minutes to eat all of her kibbles. At one point she even walked away, getting either full or annoyed with the "game."
- Sean Meyer

An excellent, ingenious product!
"This is a real find...it's very sturdy, cleans up well in the dishwasher, and most importantly, forces my labradoodle to eat slowly. I've tried other "solutions" to the " wolf your food down in one gulp" syndrome, and this by by far is the only one to be effective. Worth every penny!"

Really works for our dog!
"Our 13 pound long hair dachshund would gulp her food literally in under 15 seconds often choking. We tried several different feeders and even placed a weighted ball in her bowl but nothing worked well. While researching feeders i came across the Northmate Green Feeder. Watched several videos online and decided to give it a try. This thing works great! She now slowly eats her food right at 7 minutes, she chews each piece. She gets 1/4 cup twice a day so that is amazing the differance in time it takes to eat that amount. She seems to enjoy "looking" for each kibble. Also when we leave the house i thinly slice a baby carrot and place throughout the feeder for her to eat to keep occupied for awhile."
